Semi-formal. Which means a good dress and nice shoes, which I do not have.

I realize that I probably do not actually need to ask this, since Jubilee has never yet turned anyone down for shopping, ever - but..

Can someone go with me to find a dress? One that doesn't make me look twelve?

I can't help but think that asking for help finding a dress with those specifications, in this crowd, might be a little.. um.. dangerous. But I may just be being paranoid. I would offer, but.. not the best eye for dresses in the world, and I'm sure you're aiming for someone of the female persuasion to lend you a hand.

Thankfully, I got a ton of new suits during the recent shopping excursion to New York, so I'm set on that front. So long as nobody expects me to dance, I'll be right as rain.

I'm thinking that sort of dress is usually expensive, and meant to... well, to show off, at least some. And I don't really know about Jubilee's taste, but I've seen the kind of suggestions Ms. Blaire and Ms. Frost make, and I think they wouldn't suit me very well.

Though not being "too scary" would sound good. ;)

We can find a sale, and showing off does not necessarily mean showing skin.

Christmas sales! If I can find 85% off Horrible Sheets, than I can find inexpensive dresses that are pretty but not risque.

While we are out, I think that Manuel would appriciate it if someone got him something to wear that was not grey sweatpants and t-shirts.

He seemed a little distressed about them this morning.

.. of course, he also seemed distressed about the oatmeal, the applesauce, the Gatorade and just about everything else, although I can not be totally sure, since I do not speak Spanish, and my Latin needs improvement. Doug had stepped away to eat, so I could not get an accurate translation.

That sounds about right, but I'm fairly sure I'm not picking up more than you are.... I like Latin, but I'd not thought it was going to end up being conversational!

I think Manuel is just generally distressed. I can't think what would have been wrong with the applesauce or oatmeal, but I suppose waking up that way would be upsetting and I can't imagine he's feeling altogether better yet. I still don't understand why he'd be projecting apathy instead of what he's feeling if he's upset, though.

You didn't mention the shock when I came to look in as a wolf for a minute. (Dr. McCoy, if you read this: I had not been running around outside, and was clean, but I washed my hands before I came back since my paws had been on the floor.)

I have some Latin from my old school, it was a required class our first year. I am not getting everything he says, but some of it is obvious. Mostly, Doug translates when he is there.

I think he was more generally distressed than specifically distressed. He seemed to object to the idea of non-solid food in general.

I am sure he was just not expecting to see a wolf walking around inside. I would be shocked if I saw one and was not prepared. It is a bit unusual.
