Has anyone -else- read the paper today?

What if our Red X place gets bombed? What then? Do we have to stop doing it because it is not safe?

Car bombs are not -supposed to happen- in America. Only in places like Spain or Israel. Not here.

So much for getting rid of my headache.

If anyone needs me, I'll be in the music room. At least the guitar is not bright coloured or scary.

Things like this happen everywhere, Angie, for one cause or another. There was always gonna be someone who didn't like Red-X on principle. Just don't think anyone expected them to be this well organized...

I know -that-, Angelo. I know that bombs happen everywhere. They are NOT supposed to happen here. You never -hear- about it. Shootings at schools, yes. Bombs, no.

It is damned frustrating. We get a way to help and show that we are not scary and some asshole goes and blows up a parking garage. What is that supposed to do? Show that... if we try to help people that someone will blow up cars?

Unfortunately, there have been people bombing things in America before, Angie. Oklahoma City, the World Trade Center, Olympic Park in Atlanta...it hasn't been _that_ prevalent in this country, but it _has_ happened.

Especially not connected to something we're doing. I had a really long phone conversation with my parents today that basically boiled down to them saying "please be careful."

Just . . . argh. Why do people even do stuff like that? All we're trying to do is help people, for crying out loud.

Mine, thankfully, will probably not find out, or not make the connection, or just not say anything, and assume I do nothing dangerous.

I feel weird not telling mine stuff, so they tend to hear about it eventually. They've been pretty cool about it so far--one or two more major crises and they might start to crack a little, though. Hope I don't have to find out.

I don't suppose aspirin works? Or aren't there . . . there's prescription migraine stuff, isn't there? Would asking the docs to get you some help?
