For the last time, I am not eating potato socks.

Really, whoever took over the French classes after Jean-Paul left is lacking. Potato socks indeed.

However, that does not mean I intend to volunteer.

I could make potato socks, I bet. Skin the potato, bake the skins nice and crispy, figure out how to fasten them together in sock shape (some kind of really sticky gravy, maybe?) and stuff 'em with mashed potatoes. Might be tasty.

Or, you could make apple pastries, which is what I -am- eating, despite insistance from certain people that I am eating potato socks.

They do, don't they? I still can't figure out how to get the skins to stick together, and I might have to do some experimenting.

flour and water in a very thin coating is one way, but it needs time to dry and doesn't taste too good.

or syrup. especially the kind that people use to stick baby bows on with...corn syrup I think.
