A few of you know this already, I have spoken to some of you about it.

I was offered a position at the Snow Valley Centre, and have decided to take it. Primarily doing architecture design for the X-factor positive with unique needs, but also doing other intern work as needed, as I am still a student.

Because the position needs to be filled rather quickly, as there is already one project waiting for work, I will be beginning to move out today, though you can expect to see me in and out of the mansion all week.

When did I get so many books? And art supplies? I cannot possibly have bought so many watercolours. There is just no way that I spent this much on paint.

You're leaving now? With everything that's going on?

I am starting to moving out today - I am not leaving for another week or so. There is not much I can do to help at all with the current situation except worry and fret, and that does not really do anyone any good.

I can go to meetings and pace and worry and be upset. And I can do another nine hundred predictions, and catalogue information. All of which I am already doing. Moving my things from one place to another is not going to prevent that.

Fine. What do I know? I'm just a kid.

Terry, I've got something you can occupy your time with if you'd like. Not a whole lot - everything that can be covered is pretty much covered, but it's something worth doing.

As long as it's helping and not just busy work or something unrelated.

Do I strike you as the type of man who'd hand out busy work?

From: [identity profile] x-siryn.livejournal.com
Some people seem to think that's good enough.

How about less talking on the journals and more coming downstairs where I can put you to work? I have only one arm at the moment, remember?

I'm on my way.

Which everything? Everyone going on vacation at once?

Team stuff, Forge. We're just a bit busy at the moment, is all, but everything that needs to get done is getting done.

Ah, cool. Since I'm assuming you're sidelined due to turning your brain into pudding TWICE recently, I might draft you for some grunt work putting pieces together for your new psimitar.

... Forge, I know I haven't been out and about much since I got out of the infirmary, but you do know I have one arm in a cast, right? That plus no telekinesis makes it very difficult to feed and dress myself.

Oh, I wouldn't give you anything important. For crying out loud, on your best days you have the manual dexterity of a dump truck. Mostly I want you to understand how this works, so that you might consider refraining from breaking it a THIRD time.

I swear, I need to put a sticker on it that says "MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: ONE BRAIN."

I do not have the manual dexterity of a dump truck. That is a vile untruth, John Henry.

Let me finish up a couple of things down here and then I'll be up. I probably have an hour or two free.

Mea culpa.

I meant to say a bulldozer. A bulldozer operated by a drunk orangutan with severe attention deficit issues.

When I finish this, I am going to make you repeat all the safeguards back to me, just so I am confident that you know them, even if you won't follow them. Like I told Scott, I can't build you a prosthetic brain.

Yet.

Also, Angie - you know that any other time I'd gladly help you move boxes, but I am so thunderingly useless at the moment with one arm and no TK and a touchy head. I had another double-vision episode this morning and nearly slit my own throat shaving.

From: [identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com
Thank you anyway. Although at the rate I am filling boxes, I may be moving them for the rest of the year, so if you see me still moving them in October, don't be surprised.

Which reminds me. If you would like it, I have a drawing for you that.. from the visions last month. I found quite a few of them that I did not know I had done. I have drawings for quite a few people, actually. They were hidden all over my room, but I finished yours, except for some coloring work.

I actually think it works better without it though - it makes the figures look somewhat more ghostly.

I'd like that very much, Angie. Thank you.

It is not framed yet, but the supply store I frequent has an excellent framing centre, and I can stop by to get one that matches the drawing if you would like it framed. I have to go get another box to hold my pastels and chalks in. They bred while I was not looking after them.

If... if you have one for me, I would very much like it.

From: [identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com
I do. It needs to be set, the drawing was in oil pastels and those smear very easily, but I can do that this evening.

Actually, can I ask for Angelo's one of Meg? I have an idea for a gift.

From: [identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com
Yes, but let me finish it first? That one really needs to be coloured properly.

I keep finding these drawings everywhere. I may have to just post a list...

From: [personal profile] xp_daytripper
Sure thing. A list might be an idea, actually - I know there's probably a couple of people wondering what's out there.

And if you need help with anything, let me know - the arts skills haven't completely died yet and I can still do the basic setting and trimming and the rest.

I knew this already after lunch, but it'll be good to have you around the place, mate. I'm having dinner with Nate tonight - Nate, we still on for that with Everything That's Going On? - but I can help you lug stuff back to New York. For some reason they keep letting me use the company car...

From: [identity profile] x-cable.livejournal.com
Still on, definitely. I've been told that if I don't mind the fact that I'm recuperating, they're going to throw me at Moira when she gets back and finds out, and make a run for it themselves.

From: [identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com
Oh. A car. Oh hell. I should.. though, really, do I need one in New York?

From: [personal profile] xp_daytripper
Not really. I tend to grab the work car since a lot of what I do involves large books in large numbers, not to mention libraries all over the place. Plus Remy gets me to be his driver when he needs one - he can't really drive with the leg and all and I like the practice.

So yeah, I'll have the car tonight and I can run you and a few of the Box Family back to the brownstone tonight. Or just the boxes, if you're wanting to stay there.
