It is cheating because Jamie is dating the girl who could get in there to put ketchup in your shoes so I can't ask her!

You can always _ask_. If the reason is right I might even agree, although I must say katchup is kind of not my thing.

As a side note, denial rarely works, particularly not against Doug.
